One of the most rewarding aspects of our work at the Bishwambharpur Sehat And Rahat Foundation is witnessing the direct impact of our programs on the lives of community members. A shining example of this is our recently launched Women's Tailoring Cooperative, which is already showing remarkable success.
Under our "Women Empowerment" program, which encourages activities like "tailoring, handicrafts, and home-based food businesses," we facilitated the formation of a small group of local women into a cooperative. The Foundation provided initial support in the form of basic sewing machines, training workshops on garment construction and design, and guidance on business management principles.
In just a few months, the cooperative has started receiving orders from the local community for custom garments, uniforms, and alterations. The women are not only earning a sustainable income but also developing valuable skills and a sense of independence. This initiative directly supports our core value of "Empowerment and Inclusion," particularly for women, as mentioned in our policy framework.
This cooperative perfectly embodies our "Livelihood Support" pillar, which focuses on "skill development" and "cooperative business growth."
